John Provencher

John Provencher, born 1991, is an artist, graphic designer and educator based in Brooklyn, New York. He works with the generative nature of software as a medium, making work shown both online and offline. As a designer he has worked for clients including Google, A24, Nike and The New York Times. In 2022 he joined the Art and Code cohort at New INC, the New Museum's incubator for technology-based creative practice. He presented HAHA at Dunkunsthalle, a former Dunkin' Donuts turned art space in New York, in 2023. His series Dungeoneer, which reworks the logic of video games into generative worldbuilding, was included in the 2025 group exhibition Console Spirituality on Feral File.
