{agoria}

Agoria is the French artist and musician Sébastien Devaud. He began mixing at underground raves in the 1990s and went on to help shape France's electronic music scene, cofounding the record label InFiné, releasing albums through Universal Music and Virgin, and helping launch the Nuits Sonores festival in Lyon. He later founded Sapiens Records. Agoria began minting NFTs in 2021 and works in what he calls "biological generative art", built on collaborations with scientists. With biophysicist Nicolas Desprat and composer Nicolas Becker he developed Phytocene, and with biologist Alice Meunier he made Centriole. In 2024 he presented "Le Code d'Orsay" at the Musée d'Orsay with the artist Johan Lescure. He showed the series As Above, So Within at ArtVerse during Art Basel Paris in 2025, and contributed a soundtrack to "Exist in Silence" at the Musée d'Art Contemporain de Lyon in 2026.
