Andrew Benson
Andrew Benson, who works under the name pixlpa, is an artist based in Los Angeles. He makes generative and interactive digital art with code, including browser-based tools such as MoBrush and Melter, and the looping pixel generator Boopy, released in 2016. His work with WebGL was cited as an inspiration by the artist Kim Asendorf, who began exploring the technology in 2017. In 2021 Benson released the generative series Active Gestures on Foundation, and his work was included in RIP HEN: A Tribute to Hic et Nunc, a physical exhibition curated by Jesse Draxler. In February 2026 he said on social media that the slow dissolve of all NFT art platforms is proof of the initial premise of decentralization.
