Dominique Dautheribes

Dominique Dautheribes works under the name petitsapin, making generative art built on procedural systems. His themes often begin with echoic memory, and in particular with the overheard background dialogue of films. In January 2023 he released Such A Lovely Time on Art Blocks, a series whose title comes from a line of film dialogue and whose colours are drawn from his own travel photographs. He also provided software assistance on Heart of Wood, a kinetic wooden sculpture and light installation by Gwylim Johnstone, Anna Torvaldsdotter, Håkan Lidbo and Jaime Reyes, commissioned by Skellefteå Kraft for the Sara Cultural Centre in Skellefteå, Sweden, where it visualizes the building's smart energy system.
