Kazuhiro Aihara

Kazuhiro Aihara is a Japanese digital artist based in Tokyo. Self-taught, he began studying graphic design around 2005 and started a professional career in advertising, fashion and interior design in 2010, producing artwork and merchandise for acts signed to Warner Music Group and Universal Music Group and campaign visuals for a Sacai and Nike Global collaboration. His posters have been shown at poster biennials in Moscow, Brno and Lahti, and are in the permanent collections of the Toyama Prefectural Museum of Art & Design and the National Moravian Gallery in the Czech Republic. Aihara paints directly onto the Photoshop art board, making abstract portraits in which unfinished lines and glitches are treated as part of the finished work rather than as flaws. He minted his first digital work, 100:(, in 2021, and showed DPSY21 at CURATION⇄FAIR Tokyo in 2024.
