lulu xXX

lulu xXX is a pseudonymous digital artist who works as a CGI and 3D artist in the visual effects industry. She began coding in the early 2000s in order to access advanced visual-effects functions without paying for expensive software, and later built her own tools, using optical flow analysis to extract motion from footage. In 2015 she began experimenting with neural network-based artificial intelligence. She entered the cryptoart scene in 2020, minting her first NFT on Rarible that year. Among her works are Peacock Romance, a triptych reinterpreting Sergei Eisenstein and Grigori Aleksandrov's 1930 film Romance Sentimentale, and p(ii)tch, a series of alphanumeric portraits of pop-culture figures including Marilyn Monroe and Kurt Cobain. She was included among fifty artists in the book CRYPTO ART – Begins, selected by curator Eleonora Brizi, and has tokenized work on Rarible, MakersPlace and KnownOrigin.
