Matt Perkins

Matt Perkins is an American algorithmic artist based in Charlotte, North Carolina, who works under the handle @nudoru. He has college training in graphic design and illustration and spent more than two decades in digital design and web development. After seeing Robert Hodgin's Meander project, he taught himself generative art in 2021 and found the Tezos art scene that December, releasing twenty-eight collections in the roughly ten weeks that followed. He makes his work with computer code, drawing on a love of impressionist painting styles, and cites Tyler Hobbs, Ben Kovach and Matt DesLauriers as influences. Cold Mountain sold out its editions within a three-hour burn window, and Island Mist #16 was included in Sotheby's Digital Art Day Auction in 2024. His work has been shown at Cromwell Place in London and the Yunjian Art Museum in Shanghai, and in 2025 at the Mint Museum in Charlotte and Art on Bitcoin in Lisbon.
