Omar Z. Robles is a Puerto Rican street photographer. He trained as a mime under Marcel Marceau and worked as a photojournalist early in his career before taking up street photography in Chicago. He later moved to New York, where he discovered NFTs through artist friends and began selling his photography through Foundation and SuperRare. His NFT series City gathers street photographs of New York, among them The Violence, an image of a woman tensing as three men look at her on Seventh Avenue. He has continued the city as subject in City Dads, on fathers in public space, and City Hats, which follows hats worn across New York as markers of identity and community. With his older brother, a journalist, photographer and novelist, he made Eloquent Silence, pairing his photographs with fictional narratives.
