Qian Qian is an artist and graphic designer based in New York, and the creative director of Bright Moments gallery. He studied media arts in graduate school in the UK, where he first drew and animated pixel art, and spent two decades in advertising and design, making work for clients including Samsung, Nike, Coca-Cola and Google. During the Covid-19 pandemic he began sharing pixel-art pieces on Instagram. It grew into CryptoCitizens, his generative portrait collection, which reached its full run of 10,000 citizens across nine cities. His pixel-art work Full Moon Fever was shown in "The Pixel Generation" at Unit London in 2023. His work has also been exhibited at the Victoria and Albert Museum and Lincoln Center.
