Qotonana

Qotonana is a generative artist and graphic designer who makes blockchain-based work. Trained as an electronic engineer, they went seven years without writing code before discovering fxhash and the generative art scene, which brought them back to it. Their projects draw on boats, seas and cities, the Mediterranean landscapes of Dalmatia, and the ancient hinterlands of stone walls and towers, which they describe as the landscapes of their hearth. The series that began with Voyage and the project DOM work through this material. In Soothe, released in June 2023, a recurring character carries a narrative across the landscapes. Darkest Hour followed on fx(hash) in September 2024.
