Satoshi Aizawa
Satoshi Aizawa is a Japanese generative artist, born in 1987. He earned an MFA from Tokyo Zokei University in 2012. Aizawa is known for The Path, a long-running series of looping line animations that continuously redraw themselves, versions of which have been released on Hic et Nunc and later Teia from 2021 onward. He also made the BUDDHA VERSE NFT series, linking algorithmic image-making with Buddhist thought. In 2024 he extended The Path with Grey Path, written using Python's NumPy library as a homage to Hiroshi Kawano's work in Fortran, and presented as part of the exhibition Patterns of Flow at Feral File and NEORT++ in Tokyo.
